I was brought up in a small mountain village. My father had an illness in his stomach. When I was very little, I started to help my mother with housework in order to reduce the pressure on my mother. Now, I am sixteen years old. During my summer vacation, I went to Guangzhou with some of my classmates to try to work for our tuition. My job was hard. I could only make 20 RMB ($2.93) per day by working more than ten hours a day. During that time, I wasn’t able to get enough sleep every day, but I kept working because we needed the money. Thankfully, I received your scholarship and a huge burden was lifted from me!
By Sept 1st, I was sitting in a classroom at this high school. I knew clearly if I wanted to change my life, I would have to study hard. My favorite university is South China Normal University. Now, with your donation, I am more confident that I can complete my high school education, go to a top university, repay to my parents for their love and support, and change my life.
When I have the ability to help others in the future, I will do the same thing as you have done. I’ll let sunshine spread on the earth and let the dark corners of the world be brightened.
